| Description | We are currently recruiting for Class 2 Drivers to work as Refuse Collectors for Birmingham City Council. There are four sites, all of which are within 4 miles of Birmingham Central.
This job provides excellent working conditions and all PPE provided and paid for by Birmingham City Council. Handballing will be required to help loaders, as and when needed. The vehicles that are currently being used are Vulture 26 Tonne Refuse Collection Trucks with automatic gearboxes. A Digital Tachograph is not required as all the vehicles are Government Log Book and, no previous experience is necessary either. The current rate of pay is £8.59 per hour. Overtime is available at time and a half after 37 hours, and on Saturday’s. Sunday’s and Bank Holiday’s are paid at double time. The working week is Monday – Friday, 6:00am – Job and knock.
