| Description | Driving State of the Art Refuse Collection Vehicles around the Cheltenham Area. You will be required to help the loaders on your vehicle as and when required.
You must have the ability to work to strict deadlines and provide a forward facing attitude regarding customer services. You may be required to work longer hours than stated to help with any extra workload the customer requires. The majority of the vehicles on the Waste Collection are automatic. Training can be given but experience is a definite advantage. The recycling vehicles are mainly manual gearboxes, so flexibility is the key. There is quite a bit of manual handling required. This vacancy will start by covering adhoc shifts but if you have the right attitude and right skills it may lead to a long term position. Ideally you will have had your license for a minimum of 2 years (because of insurance) and already have experience but full training can be given. You will be given health and safety training, vehicle familasarition training and procedure training. The location of my client is very close to the centre of Cheltenham. The pay rate is £7.50 per hour Monday to Friday. Overtime is as and when required. The working week is and average of 37.5 hours per week. Working hours start around 0600. |
